12/12 - HOLIDAY PARTY AND YANKEE PLANT SWAP MEET - FREE!
Learn the secrets to keeping your plants happy in the winter from Rachael Porter of Houseplant Designs, swap plant cuttings, and mingle with fellow plant lovers over spiked festive drinks and snacks while you swap for your next plant baby!
Wednesday 12/12 from 7pm to approx 8:30pm
This event is free to attend, but please CLICK HERE TO RSVP so we can know how many people to expect!
How it works:
YANKEE PLANT SWAP
1) Bring a WRAPPED (in a box or a bag, this doesn't have to be fancy) indoor houseplant you’re willing to part with (the hardest part). The plant can be in a plastic garden container or bag with soil. (Bring all your friends! The more people who attend, the better chance of finding a cool new plant!) (please note: plants must be in good condition and must be free of disease, bugs, etc...)
2) Chat about plants with all the other plant mamas and papas while enjoying holiday snacks and bevvies.
3) At 7:30, everyone will draw a number and yankee swap will commence! (*see rules below)
CUTTING SWAP: Bring a cutting from a beloved plant to share with other plant lovers! No need to wrap this or repot. Just chat with someone else who brought cuttings to swap!
RAFFLE TICKETS will be available for a plant from Onatah--all proceeds will go to Coburn Place, which exists to empower victims of intimate partner violence to live as survivors.
Bring a non-perishable food item or anything from the Coburn Place Wishlist, and we'll give you 10% off your entire in-store purchase, all day!
There is no fee for this event.

*RULES: The person who receives the number 1 will pick a plant (that is not their own) from the pile and open it for all to see.
The person who receives number 2 then chooses a plant and opens it, and then must decide whether to keep it or steal the first player’s plant. Each person in order then gets to select a plant, open it and decide whether to keep it or steal it for any other plant someone has already opened. A plant cannot be stolen twice in the same round.
Opening of plants and swapping takes place until all the plants have been chosen. Finally, the person who picked first gets to choose from all the plants or keep what he/she has already received. In the end, the gift you are holding is the gift you take home.
